To support our growth and specific project requirements, we are looking to supplement our team with senior consultants with deep experience leading and/or working as part of a mid-sized team delivering operational improvement projects for mining, as well as utilities, manufacturing, logistics and/or other asset and process-intensive businesses.  We are looking for candidates with experience in management consulting with exposure to the mining industry.

The role:
​

• Autonomous with accountability in contributing to and delivering on projects of operational improvement performance, continuous improvement, field force effectiveness, Management Operating System (MOS) implementations, constraints modelling, capital portfolio and cost optimisation, supply chain management, and operational due diligence

• Identifying opportunities to pitch innovative or value adding consulting engagements and propositions in response to client needs

• Working as part of a team to transfer knowledge/skills to the client

 

Here's what will make you a great fit:

• A degree in business, engineering or sciences

• ±5 years of experience in consulting (with industry experience and a strong operational background) primarily in underground hard rock and surface mining

• Methodology applications and strong knowledge of industry standards

• Experience working with top-tier consulting firms is preferable

• Strong analytical, time management, collaboration and communication skills

• Effective people management skills with influencing and coaching competencies 

• Familiar with all stages of project management

• Strengths in participating and collaborating in a project team to engage in creative and critical thought

• Strong presentation and creative skills

• Outcome focused – we don't bill clients for time, we get paid for results

• Willingness to travel and a valid work permit to live and work in South Africa
